Thomas Heyward Academy where we believe learning can be rewarding and exciting, but not without effort.
Students acquiring skills, concepts and information necessary to master a course must put forth effort.
Our goal is not to entertain children - parents can do so far more cheaply than sending them to Thomas Heyward Academy.
The philosophy of Thomas Heyward Academy is in accord with the conservative belief that no learning takes place without hard work.
The Academy's primary' mission is to educate students in the basic skills.
We cannot guarantee each student a quality education, only the opportunity to reach this goal through hard work, discipline and dedication.

School Reviews

  • Recommended December 11, 2012 - After serching and making comparisons to other schools in the South Carolina low country area (Jasper, Beaufort Counties), there is no doubt that Thomas Heyward is a superior academic and extracurricular environment. The college acceptance/attendance rate is in the high 90''s. The school environemnt gives parents confidence that thier children are in good hands, all day long. I only wish I had the opporunity send our son there sooner. - Posted by Parent
