Sugar Bowl Academy

Sugar Bowl Academy is a college preparatory, athletic-oriented boarding and day school located near Truckee, California. The school provides students with the unique opportunity to maximize their athletic potential without compromising their academic standards. The program is designed around a flexible yet demanding college preparatory curriculum, a rigorous athletic training program, and the development of outstanding individuals. Through its academic, athletic, and community-oriented programs, SBA seeks to empower each student with the skills necessary to enjoy an educated and enriched life. Sugar Bowl Academy is the only fully accredited college preparatory school for the competitive skier in California. It provides a rigorous academic experience for students who wish to pursue alpine, nordic and freeride skiing at the highest competitive levels. Academic and athletic scheduling is designed to accommodate the demanding training and race schedules of the student-athletes. Enrollment averages around 45 students as the facility accommodates a student body of 19 boarding and 35 day students. The school is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
