For more than 10 years, we have received more freshman applications than any other university and have enrolled about 10 percent of those who applied. Our world-class faculty includes many who are the top scholars in their fields. They are actively engaged in teaching and research because they love learning and discovery. UCLA enjoys a special relationship with Los Angeles and Southern California. Faculty, staff and students provide informed service to almost 200 civic organizations. Our scholarship advances medical science, engineering, education, the arts and humanities and many other fields all over the world.
