Barbara M. (Schulz) Haitsch, 74, of Bethel, died Sept. 13, 2009, at Danbury Hospital. She was the wife of James Haitsch for 52 years. Mrs. Haitsch was born Sept. 5, 1935, in Danbury, daughter of the late Carl and Gertrude (Schweitzer) Schulz. DANBURY -- Republican lawmakers and local officials fear a one-year moratorium on state aid for school construction could affect several local projects.State Sen. DANBURY -- Republican lawmakers and local officials fear a one-year moratorium on state aid for school construction could impact several local projects.A local Democrat, however, said his counterparts on the other side of the aisle are just playing politics and no moratorium is in place.
