DANBURY -- Zachary Herr looked like a typical 14-year-old as he munched on some peanut butter cups and relaxed in the air conditioning at the Cafe on the Green at Richter Park Golf Course.And Brendan Lemp looked no different from any other 17-year-old as he strolled across the sun-baked parking lot at Richter Park with his golf bag slung over his shoulder.

BRISTOL — Rain prohibited Bristol’s Jaycee-T.D. Banknorth Baseball League senior team from getting its season underway last week, but with the weather finally on its side it was able to take the field on Monday and get its season going at last.

CHICOPEE - A veteran Catholic educator and academic administrator was named Holyoke Catholic High School's new principal on Tuesday. Michael S. Griffin, 56, of Rocky Hill, Conn., who was formally introduced during a visit, will take the helm of the school on July 1.
