The Woodhall School
School Notes Overview:
The Woodhall School offers an opportunity to experience success for young men of above average intellectual ability in grades 9 -12 who have not achieved at a level commensurate with their ability in traditional school programs. It is the goal of Woodhall to offer an individualized educational program where self-discovery and learning to process the information gained from self-discovery will give each student an opportunity to change a pattern of failure into one of success. Upon entering Woodhall, a student may manifest one or more of these characteristics: low self confidence, lack of motivation, difficulty with academic or study skills, health or family-related issues, mild learning disabilities, attention/concentration difficulties, or characteristics of a Non-verbal Learning Disability. The Woodhall School 's educational program is incorporated into a communications context, providing students with opportunities to develop skills of self-expression with accountability. In this context, education is a process and an exchange of ideas that includes an exchange between persons not just an intellectual discourse focused on content alone....
