• We are called Cornerstone Academy, located at The Mission. We offer a full college preparatory academic program in a combination schedule of classroom study and home study for Pre-K through 12th grade. Our Classic University Model program of study takes place on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, while parents oversee home study with teacher-directed lesson plans on Monday and Thursday. Cornerstone Academy also offers labs and study groups for students in 7th - 12th grade in science, math and Latin from 8 AM to 1 PM on Thursdays. In addition, Cornerstone offers a University Model Plus program with a fourth day of instruction on Thursday. A five-day program operates for students with special circumstances or scholarships requiring five-days. Cornerstone's Robotics program is internationally recognized and the Athletic Department offers a full range of sports for students in 1st through 12th grades. The Varsity Soccer and Volleyball teams won the NACA National title in 2007. The Speech and Debate Team have been the winners of the St. Augustine Catholic Forensic League Conference Championship in 2007 and 2008. Cornerstone Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship programs, athletic and other school-administered programs. Cornerstone Academy is a non-church affiliated, private Christian school.

  Staff report GAINESVILLE - The St. John volleyball team lost a thrilling five-set nail-biter to Cornerstone Academy, 25-18, 25-27, 24-26, 25-16, 15-11, Tuesday night on the road in Gainesville. Ashley LaBorde tallied 15 kills, 7 digs and 2 blocks to lead the Saints in the losing effort.
