    Jacksonville Christian Academy played on two consecutive nights and picked up wins over Anniston and Coosa Christian and dropped a match to Weaver. In a tri-match with Weaver and Anniston the Thunder lost to Weaver 2-1 (24-26, 25-15, 15-17) but picked up a win over Anniston 2-0 (25-7, 25-14).

    Having lost only one player to graduation, the Jacksonville Christian Academy volleyball team should have the nucleus of a very good team this year. The Thunder ended the season with a 16-11 record last year, runner-up to area champion Donoho. JCA lost in its first regional game to Speake.
