Edu-Pack to donate 15,000 backpacks (Cherokee Tribune)

A Woodstock-based ministry is hoping to bring smiles to at least 15,000 children in need of school supplies this year. Edu-Pack, a Christian nonprofit organization, is soliciting donations to distribute backpacks filled with supplies in order for children to attend school.

Cherokee's private and Christian schools are expanding to meet growing needs. Woodstock's Cherokee Christian Schools' $4.2 million new high school facility is "75 percent completed," according to Superintendent Mike Lee.
