    Elmhurst District 205 Foundation is celebrating summer with a family friendly bash from 3:30-8 p.m. Aug. 9 in the parking lot on Addison Street, just north of First Street. The event will feature food and drinks, adult beverages, live music, games and a raffle for baseball tickets.

    Come on out and get some great bargains. The Immanuel Lutheran School PTL will hold its annual rummage sale beginning Thursday at the school, 5 S. Van Buren St. The sale will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. It will feature clothing, toys, antiques, housewares, appliances, furniture and more.
