St. John's Lutheran School in Lombard,Illinois offers a Preschool 3 through Grade8 program for parents seeking a quality Christian education for their child Founded in 1888 St. John's Lutheran School is a ministry of St. John's Lutheran Church and is open to all people seeking a Christian education. Academic excellence and growing in the faith are the guiding forces for St. John's. Weekly chapel services and religion classes featuring Bible stories and basic Christian teachings insure that our students have ample opportunity to explore their relationship with God and grow spiritually. At St.John's high academic standards and quality instruction by certified and dedicated teachers work together to enable each child to succeed to his or her potential. Last year students at St.John's, taking part in the Iowa Test of Basic Skills,scored the following results. St. John's provides opportunities for students to explore their gifts in many areas, art,music, drama, and athletics. Yearly plays and programs allow students to exhibit their dramatic and vocal talents. In athletics we offer cross country, boys and girls volleyball, boys and girls basketball, cheerleading and co-ed track. Band instruction is available for children in Grades 4-8 and upper grade students(6-8) are able to select electives ranging from Science Inventors Workshop to Advanced Technology. All students in Grades 1 through 8 receive instruction in Spanish....

Immanuel Lutheran School in Palatine can add another national title to its record books. The Bobcat basketball team won the 2009 Girls' Grade School Lutheran National Championship Sunday night, beating Salem Lutheran School from Orange, Ca.
