St. Michael Elementary School
School Notes Overview:
St. Michael’s Catholic School seeks to cooperate with the home in the formation and education of our students. The students’ education is divided into three equal parts: parents, students, and teachers who are all equally responsible for the education that each student receives at St. Michael’s Catholic School. Our school endeavors to develop the whole child by challenging each student to extend himself/herself fully in all capabilities. We strive to make our students aware that each person counts with God and must count with others. One of our main goals is to help our students learn to find happiness in seeking and loving Christ in their home and their school. Our objective is to provide a balanced program of worthwhile values, remembering that total education is the primary purpose of the school; to encourage the student to develop good work and study habits and to capitalize on his/her special aptitudes and interests; to provide a motivational atmosphere that will encourage each student to want to become life- long learners; to instill a sense of creativity and flexibility in order to meet the changing needs of society and education; to awaken the student to his/her civic and moral responsibilities in his/her relationship to humankind; to help the student to develop an appreciation for art, music, literature and other areas of the fine arts; and to encourage in the student a sense of self-discipline and self-direction by placing more responsibility on him/her as he/she matures. ...
