School Notes Overview: |
University Montessori School exist to serve effectively a broad spectrum of preschool children, ages two years through kindergarten. We are dedicated to the Montessori philosophy and method of education. Our purpose is to help develop the full potential inside each child. We want each child to acquire the skills necessary to become a competent and capable student. Our goal is to provide each child with a positive and productive experience in preschool. Through the use of the materials in the classroom and the careful guidance of the Montessori teacher, the child has a successful classroom experience. One success builds upon another thus increasing self-esteem and self-confidence. Through individual and group activities and class routine, the child experiences decision making, concern for his or her and other's rights, independent thinking, and personal responsibility. All of this leads the child to feel he or she is an active and important part of his or her class and his or her own unique learning experience. ...read more
