    BATH — It had been 17 years since the Hyde School girls soccer team had captured the MAISAD championship, but as the time ticked away, rain pouring down on a field becoming muddier by the second on Saturday, the Phoenix came through with one final clear in holding on for a 1-0 victory over Hebron Academy.

    BATH — John Calvin Stevens, considered by some to be Maine’s most prominent architect of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, wrote in his article, “Beauty as an Investment,” that “The ideal city should be the aim of every citizen, and he should be willing and glad to lend his aid to every attempt to make the city more interesting, more beautiful and hence more livable.”
