It teaches Jewish values, traditions, prayers and texts, and supports the wide range of belief and practice among its constituent families. The creation of the State of Israel is one of the seminal events in Jewish history. WATERTOWN — JCDS, Boston's Jewish Community Day School, won the APEX 2009 Award of Excellence in the One-of-a- Kind Charitable Publications category for the 2009 Matters of Taste invitation. The 21st Annual Awards for Publication Excellence is an international competition that recognizes outstanding publications.

WATERTOWN — JCDS, Boston's Jewish Community Day School, was delighted to host the Harold Grinspoon Library Dedication, an event held in Harold Grinspoon's honor, on June 15. The library was donated in his honor by family and friends on the occasion of Harold's 75th birthday.

WATERTOWN — Dr. Jodi Hoffman, an Ashkenazi Jewish genetic disease specialist, recently spoke to students at Boston's Jewish Community Day School about genetics. Hoffman, a 2009 Matters of Taste special guest, spoke to the sixth grade science class during its unit on genetics.
