Do not recommend it unless your child is 100% ready for school with very minimal tears/outbursts. Staff is not willing to put in the work to help your child adjust to a new setting. After barely two days of trying this school, I was told by two staff members that my child was simply "not ready yet" even though my child is of preschool age. The director even went as far as telling me to seek out our pediatrician's opinion on the matter of my child having an outburst on the second day and having separation anxiety. Disappointed that I put my child through this and wasted our time. I had high hopes for this school. Also, there was no option for me to sit in the class with my child to help with the adjustment period. In the times of Covid when our little ones had little socializing, I expected trained professionals to be more understanding and encouraging. The director is very condescending in her tone and I wish I had stuck to my gut after first meeting with her before we made our decision.

This school has so much to offer for such a small program! Kids learn art and the artists like O''keefe, Picasso and Van Gogh. They experience science by making ice cream, raising baby chicks, and they learn about community, respect, and self esteem. All children will do well in this environment but I especially suggest it for a child who is advanced and bored with the confines of a more institutional program. There is no limit to learning here. If a child is ready to read in pre-k they will get one on one assistance doing it, if they are still working on the alphabet that will be on their individual plan. There is a great mix of inside and outside activities plus great relaxation and nap time schedule. Overall parent involvement is very good here but there are not a multitude of fundraisers and forced projects. Parents are encouraged to do as much or as little as they like and most contribute in their own way. Some parents do more field trips, others ace supplying the school with recycled materials. Also to note this school did not close a single snow day last year so if you are relying on the childcare aspect of this program you won't be losing all your vacation days everytime public school is closed and school vacation week programs are lots of fun. The school does a lot of very thoughful things that show their concern for the child and the family. Giving out two diplomas to children from familes where parents live apart for each household is just the first thing I can think of...
