The Manchester girls soccer program went through a tough season in 2008 with injuries and young players. The result was that it only brought home a pair of ties in 16 games with the rest of the contests coming on the losing end of the ledger.

The 14th annual Saddle River Day School Golf and Tennis Classic will be held on Friday, Sept. 25 at The Tuxedo Club in Tuxedo Park, N.Y. Mercedes Benz USA is sponsoring the event, whose proceeds will benefit the school.

There have been 254 serious accidents at the intersection of Woodcliff Lake and Chestnut Ridge roads since 1967 and 63 crashes in the past 10 years.

Saddle River Day School graduate Justin Clark was paying extra attention the week of July 19 at his caddy's job at Ridgewood Country Club. The Ridgewood 18-year-old was doing his homework as he walked the majestic old course.

Saddle River Volunteer Fire Department Lt. Alexis Roskar doesn't have much free time these days, between her work as an engineer and estimator for national building contractor Kiewit Construction and her duties as an officer.
