    An Altoona native whose 16-year-old daughter died in a one-vehicle crash six years ago has a message for teen drivers and their parents: Inexperience and distractions are leading causes of teen driving fatalities. "As a society, we've decided to let 16-year-olds drive, but we need to do a better job of developing and preparing them for driving," said Robin Thompson of Fairfax, Va.

    Some streets around Bishop Gilfoyle High School in Altoona were a sea of purple and white for part of Sunday afternoon. Hundreds of supporters of the Catholic High School, decked out in the Bishop Guilfoyle school colors, took part in the annual walk for Catholic Schools.

    In the beginning, there is paint-ball. Grace Prep High School starts each school year with a three-day camp. During "Extreme Grace," students whitewater raft, play soccer blindfolded and pray with their teachers. They say it provides a unique bonding experience.
