The video, which was produced by Dan Brumett of MDH Productions, includes scenes of sisters at prayer in Monastery Immaculate Conception Church and with some of the people to whom they have ministered: in Guatemala, where the sisters provided schooling, health care, and parish ministry and established a printing press and arts center; in Louisville's inner city, where a sister works with the homeless; and in Memphis at Madonna Learning Center, a school for special needs children that the sisters founded. From their founding in 1867, the Sisters of St. Benedict of Ferdinand have been touching countless lives through their prayer, ministry, and presence. The sisters live the 1500-year-old monastic tradition of the Rule of St. Benedict, a spiritual path for finding God in daily life. Currently, the 169 Ferdinand Benedictines minister in diverse ways ? in schools, parishes, church institutions, health care facilities, retreat centers, and social service agencies ? in Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Peru, and Rome, Italy.
