Serious music can be fun! About 1,250 fifth-grade students from around Grayson and Bryan counties learned this Thursday morning at a special Sherman Symphony Orchestra concert especially in honor of the students and hopefully instill an understanding and appreciation for the music.

The business community in downtown Sherman lost a prominent figure Thursday when Sam L. Knight died at the age of 73. Mr. Knight worked in the furniture business at the family's store at Lamar and Travis for more than 40 years.

SHERMAN, TX ― A former Texoma Christian School elementary school principal was remembered Tuesday morning in Sherman one year after a horrific car crash ended her life. Rashi Vats was at the memorial dedication Tuesday morning.

Ten-year-old Harley Sargent of Sherman grinned from ear-to-ear when her 1,335-pound, Exotic breed steer won the top spot in Thursday's market steer show. The ever-popular steer show rounded out three days of competition at the Texoma Exposition and Livestock Show at Loy Park in Denison.
