WESTMINSTER -- The 20th anniversary Kurn Hattin Golf Classic took place on July 15 at Keene Country Club. The 128 golfers, corporate sponsors; Diane and Luke Bazin, L&B Freightliner, and Whitney Blake Company, the hole and other sponsors, all helped to raise funds, netting $315,000, over the 20 years, for the care of the children at Kurn Hattin Homes. - News Alerts (The Addison County Independent)

BRATTLEBORO — Elaine Julia (Pratt) Moore, 87, died Sunday, Feb. 10, at Eden Park in Brattleboro. She had experienced a serious fall in November of 2007 and was declining in health since that time. She was born on No. 17, 1920, in West Addison, the daughter of Alvin S. and Sylvia (Hamblin) Pratt. - Vermont school leaders honored for hard work (The Burlington Free Press)
