School Notes:

  • Maranatha High School was founded in 1965 by a group of Christian leaders who shared a vision to establish a college preparatory high school predicated upon Biblical principles and an unalloyed commitment to Jesus Christ. Maranatha High School is the only interdenominational Christian college preparatory high school in the San Gabriel Valley. With over 130 different churches represented in the school community, Maranatha enjoys a diverse religious expression. Located in Pasadena, California, Maranatha High School provides an exceptional education for students desiring an opportunity to be fully equipped to pursue higher education. The distinctions of a Maranatha education that guide our students' high school experience are: • Critical Thinking: Advancing their ability to think critically through a worldview that is distinctively Christian and brings depth to the educational process, linking intellectual growth with the formation of character. • Competency: Gaining competency in their ability to excel in the academic disciplines. • Community: Growing in compassion for others as reflected in their commitment to our community through community service. • Character:Developing character as they strive to emulate Christ likeness in both word and deed.
