Peabody School is an independent, nonprofit, nondenominational school for intellectually advanced students in grades K-8. A dynamic combination of students, faculty, staff, and parents makes Peabody an active and engaging environment for learning and individual growth. In classrooms throughout our vibrant learning community, students and teachers continue a dialogue centered on intellectual and personal enlightenment. Peabody School's mission is to provide an enriched educational environment that engages each child at his or her own level while promoting academic and social/emotional development at a rate commensurate with his or her ability. Intellectually advanced students possess unique cognitive, social, and emotional needs that may require a learning environment designed specifically for their learning characteristics. The most effective educational experience for many highly able learners is in a full-time program with their intellectual peers.
