School Notes Overview:
North Christian School (NCS) ministry was established in 1998 with the vision of "educating in Christian love and to impact the world by nurturing students to be like Jesus, empowering families to live for Him.” Since 1998 we’ve grown from 68 students to over 180 and have over 50 area churches represented at NCS. If you are a parent or grandparent who seeks a school that is committed to academic excellence and is Christ-centered, NCS may be the place for your child. North Christian School vision is to educate in Christian love and impact the world by nurturing students to be like Jesus and empowering families to live for him. North Christian School mission is to educate children and families in a Christian environment with high academic standards. North Christian School will offer students an academically challenging curriculum which will promote high academic standards while helping the students to achieve skills in creative and critical thinking. North Christian School will teach students to know Jesus Christ and the Bible as the authoritative Word of God. PARKERSBURG - More than 80 budding young authors were honored Sunday at the 2009 Young Authors Festival at Ohio Valley University. The event, sponsored by the Wood County Reading Council, honored the winners of the Young Authors Contest in Wood County elementary schools. There were more than 80 winners from 21 elementary schools in the County.
