The Academy’s belief is that education is the most effective when individuals are provided with structured and meaningful growth opportunities that are integrated throughout academics, emotional, social, and physical areas. Shortridge Academy is committed to providing a supportive and inspiring educational community that challenges students to develop strength of mind, body, and heart. We encourage students to overcome emotional obstacles in order to reclaim creativity, curiosity, joy, confidence, and the leadership skills to make positive contributions to themselves, their families, and the larger society. At Shortridge, we strive to provide our students with a full, balanced, and invigorating curriculum. Realizing that students struggle with a variety of issues, we provide a comprehensive and cohesive approach to their personal struggles. By integrating intellectual growth, personal growth, and interpersonal learning, we ensure that students are presented with positive alternatives to negative behavior and choices.
