School Notes:
Saint John of San Francisco Orthodox Academy is an Orthodox coeducational, non-profit, college preparatory full-time day school for grades K-12, scheduled around the old calendar of Orthodox feast days and services. Saint John of San Francisco Orthodox Academy intends to provide its pupils an excellent education in its curriculum, participating with the parents in the development of Orthodox children who are both well trained in secular sciences, and are equipped with that knowledge of Orthodox faith and ethics, which shall enable them to live a proper Orthodox lifestyle in today's mostly secular society. The Academy will direct its pupils to be active in church life, to develop their Christian consciousness, to practice prayer and religious tradition, to maintain healthy and obedient relations with their parents, relatives, and teachers, to strive for excellence in intellectual pursuits, and to grow as truly useful members of society that practice Christian citizenship towards their fellow kind, and true Orthodox piety towards God.
