We initially chose HVWS for the preschool program. We wanted our children to enjoy the outdoors and learn through meaningful hands on tasks and play. They developed wonderful social, physical and pre-academic skills in a warm and caring community. The grades curriculum has been a wonderful continuation of all that we loved in the early childhood program. My daughter's have thrived in the grades curriculum. I am amazed at their deep understanding of the material as well as the development of their artistic abilities.

Housatonic Valley Waldorf School is not only a school, but a true community. This school is welcoming and loving, and the care and intentionality each teacher takes with the individual student is amazing. My son has thrived here, and we attribute the true emphasis on childhood development as the reason for this. A play based, outdoor centric school is exactly what littles need!
