School Notes Overview:
Montessori Community School is to provide 3-6 year old in the surrounding areas with the best possible beginning to their schooling careers. Our enrollment is filled each year almost exclusively by word-of-mouth, with children from Ridgefield, Danbury, Brookfield, Newtown, Bethel, New Milford, New Fairfield and Southbury. Our uniquely dedicated teaching staff is all certified in Montessori education and has 25 years of cumulative experience working with young children. Our classroom environments are prepared specifically for children between the ages of 2.9 - 6 years of age. Each child is closely monitored and allowed to progress exactly when they are academically and developmentally prepared to do so. This ensures success on the child's part which leads to positive self-esteem. Children who benefit from such great beginnings have futures that are limitless. The Montessori Community School at Brookfield is nestled beyond the view of the road, just off Route 25 on the Brookfield, Newtown line. We have beautiful outdoor playgrounds and a lovely open field for planned activities as well as the unforeseen explorations. Our light filled classrooms overlooking the playgrounds and wooded surroundings creates the opportunity to study birds, weather, and the changing seasons, etc… Inside the classrooms the children will build their foundation using the traditional Montessori materials. We have a school library with books and videos for the children to sign-out as well as resources for the parent community. You will find the atmosphere of our school to be that of respect, kindness and peacefulness, an atmosphere in which any child will thrive....
