St Helen School
School Notes Overview:
St. Helen School strives to foster the growth of the whole child in the likeness of Christ, through prayer, respect and self-discipline. Our school has one vision where Catholic education stands firm in the Christian light of faith, hope, justice and love. It sanctions Gospel values in all activities and promotes the practice of these values in active participation in the building of a civil society. It is important that the home and school embrace this shared vision of excellence. As we celebrate our school’s 35 years of offering a Catholic education to thousands of students, we each have an important role in building the next generation of faithful servants of God. St. Helen's mission, as a Catholic School, is to offer quality education to children from Pre-Kindergarten to Eighth Grade. This is accomplished with a safe, Christ-centered environment, which stresses unity in cultural diversity, academics, athletics, as well as social and spiritual development. This is achieved through the cooperation and participation of the school, home, and parish communities in an atmosphere of respect and tolerance. St. Helen School strives to educate the whole person in an atmosphere of academic excellence, respect for the individual child, Christian values, in combination with the family, parish, and community. Catholic education promotes the Christian message of peace, hope, love and justice. St. Helen School demonstrates this through prayer and the celebration of the sacraments. Being a Catholic community, the school encourages service to others while fostering respect and active involvement in caring for God's creation....
