Summit School Ahwatukee is a private, non-profit independent school, located at 4515 E. Muirwood Drive in the heart of Ahwatukee Foothills. Students thrive in preschool through 8th grade. The NAEYC accredited preschool was voted BEST PRESCHOOL in Ahwatukee in 2008. In preschool through 8th grade students engage in music, art, Spanish, library and public speaking. Beginning in kindergarten students also add experimental based science, technology and physical education to their advanced curriculum. The preschool program is play based, and developmentally appropriate, which means children learn so much and have a wonderful time doing it. Small class sizes (capped at 18 students per class) in preschool - 8th grade allow children at all learning levels to thrive. When Phoenix cut ties with a summer camp for children with cancer in the midst of its budget crisis, it took less than a month for the Ahwatukee community to ensure the camp won't miss its first summer in 22 years.
