The Lansing Junior Woman's Club is holding its first Ladies Night Out fundraiser from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, 18120 Burnham Ave. in Lansing. The event will include several vendors from well-known companies such as Tastefully Simple, Avon and Lia Sophia. Five area high school seniors have received college-sponsored National Merit Scholarship awards. The awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship.
