Kindergarten is a great start for a students at Wheaton Christian Grammar School. With small classes and options for a full-day or half-day program, students progress quickly in our nurturing environment. And our half-day Kindergarten is now even more affordable!
Each year, WCGS graduates a class of eighth graders who have received a foundation of a biblical worldview and rigorous academics. An average of 70% of our graduates typically enroll at Wheaton Academy, a private Christian college preparatory high school in West Chicago, IL. WCGS's first graduating class of eight students received their diplomas in June, 1947.
The arts are celebrated at Wheaton Christian Grammar School. Students participate in vocal and instrumental music groups (including band, string ensembles, jazz ensemble, and orchestra), choirs, praise team, an annual junior high musical, and numerous visual art opportunities.
Athletics are an important element of our school program. We offer competitive team sports which include boys' and girls' basketball, soccer, and volleyball, as well as coed cross country and track.
Wheaton Christian Grammar School moved to a new, 35-acre, technology-rich campus in the fall of 2010. The campus provides a bright and innovative setting for learning, with dedicated spaces for fine arts and athletics, a centrally located Library Media Center, a high school level science lab, and much more.
Parents are active participants at WCGS through spiritual support, organizing special activities, classroom assistance, fundraising, etc. We especially appreciate the dedicated encouragement of groups like this, our Moms in Prayer.
There's great School Spirit here! Our students -- more than 520 in grades K-8 -- don't fall through the cracks here. They find that Wheaton Christian Grammar School is a place that's joyful, safe, and affirming.
Our 8th grade science students conduct a chemistry experiment, one of many hands-on activities that contribute to their thorough preparation for high school. Our STEM emphasis is evident.
