Notes for Prospective Students
Parents or guardians of interested students must begin the
Admissions process with a tour of the school. These generally
occur on Tuesdays from 9-10am, but it is wise to check with the
office if you are interested in a particular tour date
(205-592-0541). Student applicants are required to complete
one or more observation days in the appropriate classroom after
which time the teachers meet with parents/guardians and make a
determination about acceptance. If students have previous
grades/academic testing scores from other schools, those records
will be requested as part of the standard admissions procedure.
Alabama Waldorf School does not require an entrance exam, only a
willingness to learn at a developmentally appropriate level. AWS
has a tuition adjustment program that is available to working
parents who are applying in a core program (not for Extended Care
hours). (A working parent is either gainfully employed or at
home with a child under 30 months). Please inquire with the
Finance Manager about our non-invasive tuition adjustment process!
