Notes for Prospective Students

Clark School welcomes students of all types, with varied interests, strengths, and weaknesses who are ready to capitalize on their time at Clark and build relationships, skills, and confidence. Our students are kind, caring individuals who support their fellow learners while working toward a solid understanding of their own academic and social needs. Motivated and willing to accept help from their community, Clark students depart with a strong understanding of how to advocate for themselves - a crucial 21st century skill. Clark School is not a special education school; however, it is unique in that we work with students who have learning differences (dyslexia, high functioning autism, executive functioning, processing delay, etc-) as well as academically average students, and gifted/accelerated students or students who play sports or have careers and utilize our online platforms. We also welcome students on IEPs and/or Neuropsychs and 504 plans, if their individual needs fall into our range of available supports. At Clark, we are an open and accepting community where students and staff have mutual respect for one another. Clark School families primarily live on the North Shore and Merrimack Valley (Amesbury, Ipswich, Andover, Boxford, Georgetown, Groveland, Haverhill, Lawrence, Merrimack, Methuen, Newbury, Newburyport, North Andover, Rowley, Salisbury, and West Newbury). But some come as far as New Hampshire and suburban Boston. We do currently have Transportation from Swampscott/Beverly/Salem, North Andover/Reading and Burlington/Lynnfield/Danvers. If you would like to discuss your child`s learning profile as you consider Clark School, please contact our admissions office: Admissions 978-777-4699 ext.112
