Louise S. McGehee School was founded in 1912 as a college preparatory school for young women.
Located in the historic Garden District, McGehee currently enrolls girls from Pre-K through 12th grade.
The Louise S. McGehee School provides each girl with the foundation to realize her individual potential through a rigorous academic education guided by honor, service and leadership. In this dynamic, inclusive community, students develop lifelong learning skills through the use of critical and ethical thinking.

We are a private, parent-choice therapeutic boarding school for girls offering 6th through 12th grades.
Our school takes a unique approach integrating conservative Christian values with professional psychological services. Evangelhouse Christian Academy is the Christian family's alternative to residential treatment centers, boot camps, drug rehab centers, or other boarding schools for troubled teens.
Teens are enrolled forvarious problems, and our school benefits those with behavior problems, experimental substance abuse, academic, or family difficulties.
