For over 30 years Oakland Montessori School has been dedicated to supporting the independent, confident child -- balancing impressive classroom learning with the accompanying social, creative and physical discovery and development that is so vital to young children.
In this gentle Follow the child approach, children are allowed to follow their own instincts to explore, move, share with a group, to be independent and make decisions, create order, develop self-control, abstract ideas from experience, use the creative imagination, work hard, repeat, concentrate and perfect one's efforts and creations.
At Growing Light Montessori School, we provide a nurturing environment that supports the natural curiosity and creativity of each child, while stimulating their inherent love of learning, through the Montessori method, Spanish, Art, Music and more.
We accept Toddlers (24 months) through 2nd grade (8 years) at our Oakland Campus and Toddlers (24 months) through 1st grade (7 years) at our Kensington Campus.
