Thirty five years ago the founders of Pillow Academy had a vision of quality education for Greenwood and the surrounding counties.

Pillow Academy's mission, as a college preparatory school, is to educate the whole child in an environment of academic excellence and Christian values, so that each child is challenged to grow and mature in knowledge, wisdom, and service.

Carroll Academy strives to lead students to develop skills and knowledge in the Arts and Sciences and to develop an understanding of their privileges and responsibilities in relation to their family, community, state, nation, and God.

Carroll Academy is a fully accredited member of the Mississippi Private School Association.

Carroll Academy Elementary strives to lead students to develop skills and knowledge in the Arts and Sciences and to develop an understanding of their privileges and responsibilities in relation to their family, community, state, nation, and God.

Our purpose at Carroll Academy Kindergarten is multifold to educate children so that they will develop fully their intellectual, social, and creative capabilities; to instill an enthusiasm for learning; and to develop a sense of resposible participation in society.

We also hope that our students will grow in self-esteem and self-discipline, will meet the academic challenges, and care for the needs of others In addition to the academic challenges at Carroll Academy, the teachers are also committed to building a good foundation in the Christian way of life as well as the social and emotional development of each child.
