Notes for Prospective Students
The Waldorf School of Tampa Bay is a highly relational,
community-centered school, and we ask families to enter that
community with curiosity, openness, and a willingness to learn
alongside their children.Families are expected to support the life
of the school through parent participation, community events,
class meetings, and approximately 20 volunteer hours each year.
Parent education is also an important part of the Waldorf
experience, helping families better understand the developmental
approach that shapes the curriculum and school culture.Because we
are committed to protecting attention, imagination, and direct
human connection during the school day, personal media and
devices are not part of the student experience on campus, and
enrolled families agree to follow the school's media
guidelines.Families do not need prior Waldorf experience to join
our school, but we do look for a genuine interest in our
educational philosophy, respect for the rhythms and expectations of
the program, and a willingness to participate meaningfully in the
school community.
