Notes for Prospective Students

At WCDS, we look for students who thrive in an academically challenging environment and are eager to contribute positively to our school community. We aim to provide students and their families with every opportunity to learn about WCDS and ensure it's the right fit for them. As part of the admissions process, we require students to spend all or part of a day shadowing. During their visit, they complete an in-house placement evaluation and have a brief meeting with one of our deans. For Preschool through Kindergarten, the developmental evaluation is conducted by the classroom teachers, allowing children to get comfortable with their potential teachers and learning environment. Older students may also have the chance to ride the bus, offering both them and their families a more complete view of daily life at WCDS.
