Welcome to Edgewood Campus School! We are celebrating 135 years of providing academic excellence to students in the Madison area.
The heartbeat of our school is synchronized to the educational values of the Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters: truth, compassion, justice, community, and partnership. We challenge our students to reach their fullest potential as we nurture their desire to learn. We believe that all children are capable of greatness, and we strive to instill a lifelong love of learning.
Our magnificent park-like playground is located on the shores of Lake Wingra.
Mighty oak trees, some almost 300 years old, add to the serenity and majesty of our stunning play yard.
Edgewood Campus School and Edgewood College join in scientific study researching endangered and invasive species in Lake Wingra. The program is a place-based collaboration between sister schools that share the 55-acre campus located just 10 blocks west of the University of Wisconsin - Madison campus.
Our mission for science education is to foster in our students knowledge, beliefs, skills, and concepts that further our vision and constitute basic science literacy. Edgewood Campus School, Edgewood High School, and Edgewood College faculty collaborate in planning and implementing the science curriculum. Our vision is that science is a way to investigate, celebrate, and care for God's creations.
Edgewood Campus School students work with global partners around the world through the JDO Global Partnership Program and Level Up Village.
Everyday our faculty and staff members work to find the greatness in each child. Gifts and talents that are hidden in the core academic areas often flourish in our year-around art, vocal music, band, physical education, Spanish, library, technology and guidance classes.
ECS is a member of the Madison Independent Schools League, competing with other area private and Catholic schools in volleyball, basketball, softball and track. All students are encouraged to participate in athletics. The emphasis is on playing the game for fun and teamwork, as well as learning the difficult skill of winning and loosing with grace.
The Campus School celebrates diversity! We welcome students of any gender, race, religion, color, national or ethnic origin. Edgewood is SEVP-certified and accepts students from all over the world.
