Drama is not only a club at GCA but is often a learning tool used by our teachers to help students understand complexity or obscurity in literature. Here the 9th grade literature class is acting out Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.
Every year the 4th grade enjoys their monks' dinner created with their own hands as they learn about life in Medieval Europe.
Our Service Club prepares bagels for hungry people in the train station. Other activities include helping neighbors clean up after disasters like Hurricane Sandy and packaging blankets at the local library to give to children with cancer in Long Island's oncology wards.
American Heritage Girls Troop NY1999 is a Christian scouting organization. We welcome all girls from kindergarten to 12th grade and they aren't required to attend GCA. Almost half of our troop consists of homeschoolers.
Our new After School Program provides a safe place for children to stay when their parents are not able to retrieve them upon dismissal. More than just babysitting, our workers help students with any trouble they are having with their learning and help students be accountable to completing their homework.
As a classical school we highly value the arts and provide music classes for all students. Additional lessons are available in strings, voice and piano. GCA is a member of NYSSMA and LISFA.
Our students get to experience a variety of field trips throughout the year, from the Cradle of Aviation to the Met, from hiking Bear Mountain to visiting the local fire house.
Students benefit from a full repertoire of learning which prepares them for college and beyond. GCA is fully certified by New York State and our students have little trouble obtaining the schools of their choice.
Grace Christian Academy is the only kindergarten-to-twelfth grade Classical Christian school in NYC and Long Island.
Our families come from a variety of directions and locations - from Flushing and the Bronx to Suffolk County and many places in between.
It is our objective to bring as many qualified students from Christian families under a Christ-centered education as the Lord will provide.

I would recommend this school to any parent that is concerned about their child receiving a Christ-centered, Biblically sound, and academically rigorous education. The teachers are solid and demonstrate constant concern for their students. I have three children and have been satisfied with the education each one of them has received to this point. I also appreciate the school's posture of not lowering their standards to accommodate governmental curriculum or testing. I don't have much money but will send my children nowhere else as long as I am able. I love this place!

I have two children in GCA, the work is challenging, the curriculum is excellent, the teachers are solid and dedicated. My children could not get the same level of education and any where else at this price. They are taking AP classes and have advanced college credits. My oldest is a Senior this year and has been accepted to and was awarded a scholarship to her first choice University, I believe that she could not have accomplished this with out the caring staff at GCA .
