American Heritage Girls Troop NY1999 is the only AHG chapter in all of NYC and Long Island. It's approach to scouting is Christ-centered and patriotic. 40% of our girls come from outside GCA, some from public school and many from home schools.
As a Classical school, we have a very strong emphasis on reading and writing. Theater and stage activities assist in helping our students understand classical texts that are often difficult to comprehend.
Our young athletic program is growing. We now have volleyball, flag football, basketball and fencing.
Our new International Student Center offers its students instruction by an experienced and certified ELL teacher and a variety of interesting American cultural experiences.
Field trips to museums are important and frequent for all of our students as they are quite beneficial in bringing classical history and ideas that shaped western civilization to life.
Our International Relations course investigates major contemporary issues and exposes students to global relations and the workings of the United Nations.
Hands-on activities such as the 7th grade's archeology dig enhance learning as they give students up-close and personal experiences with their subject matter.
- Grace Christian Academy is the only kindergarten-to-twelfth grade Classical Christian school in NYC and Long Island.
- Our families come from a variety of directions and locations - from Flushing and the Bronx to Suffolk County and many places in between.
- It is our objective to bring as many qualified students from Christian families under a Christ-centered education as the Lord will provide.

After homeschooling our 14 yr old for 6 years, my wife and I decided we wanted to send our son to solid, well run high school with enough diversity in its curriculum to cover a broad spectrum. We found that and so much more at Grace Christian Academy. The classical Christian approach utilized at GCA not only challenges our son, but has molded him into so much more than what we bargained for-and he`s only been attending since Sept `16. We`ve noticed not only a change in character, but we see a dramatic change in his work ethic as well. The work load at GCA is well balanced and geared toward equipping a child`s mind to becoming not only successful as an adult, but impacting the world through the eyes of God`s Word. No school I know of employs such a curriculum quite like GCA. We are very thankful to God to be able to send our son there.

What a goldmine I found at Grace! I was looking for a K-12 private, Christian school that wasn't out of my price range or bus district. On my first interview at GCA when I understood their structure and worldview I was sold! Learning about the Classical method of education was the real clincher for me - I couldn't have asked for more for my children! I can say from experience that the high standards they hold for their students also holds true for their excellent staff. Top notch teachers who give above and beyond is an understatement!

I would recommend this school to any parent that is concerned about their child receiving a Christ-centered, Biblically sound, and academically rigorous education. The teachers are solid and demonstrate constant concern for their students. I have three children and have been satisfied with the education each one of them has received to this point. I also appreciate the school's posture of not lowering their standards to accommodate governmental curriculum or testing. I don't have much money but will send my children nowhere else as long as I am able. I love this place!

I have two children in GCA, the work is challenging, the curriculum is excellent, the teachers are solid and dedicated. My children could not get the same level of education and any where else at this price. They are taking AP classes and have advanced college credits. My oldest is a Senior this year and has been accepted to and was awarded a scholarship to her first choice University, I believe that she could not have accomplished this with out the caring staff at GCA .

Asking good questions at your job interview will improve your chances. Conversely asking bad questions will damage them.
