Ranney School is an Age 3-Grade 12, co-ed, independent school serving students across Monmouth & Ocean Counties, NJ. We provide an accelerated college preparatory program located on 60 acres in Tinton Falls, NJ.   • Below are a few quick facts about our school:
  • -More than 750 students are enrolled at Ranney School, from Beginners (age 3) to Grade 12
  • -Ranney has 93 full-time teachers. Of these faculty members, 46 have Master's level degrees and 6 have Doctoral level degrees. More than 35 of our faculty members have been teaching at Ranney School for 10 or more years and 20 faculty members have been teaching here for 15 or more years. 
  • -Our student: faculty ratio is 9:1, with average class sizes of 13.
  • -More than 260 of our students participate in Chorus, Band or Orchestra, beginning in third grade. Students in each division also produce annual Broadway-style plays and musicals, starting in fourth grade, as well as in Forensics. We have two state-of-the-art theatres.
  • -Our school offers an International Student Program
  • -Students begin to explore world languages (Spanish, French and Mandarin Chinese) at the preschool level; by Middle and Upper School, they earn national rankings on country-wide language exams
  • -Our robotics program has led students to three World Champsionshiops; students can begin taking a robotics elective in the fourth grade
  • -In terms of technology, each classroom has a SMARTBoard; our Distance Learning Center holds 120 seats; the campus also has two digital media centers and more than 200 laptops and iPads available throughout the Lower School-Weekly afterschool clubs are offered to Lower School students as part of the Ranney Plus program (included in tuition); more than 40 Middle and Upper School clubs and activities exist, ranging from award-winning literary magazines and robotics to community service, and so much more at no additional cost
  • -Year-round learning is available through academic, gifted and talented, and visual and performing-arts summer courses with special tuition-inclusive options for full-time enrolled Beginners (age 3) and Pre-Kindergartners
  • -Our athletic teams, such as lacrosse, basketball, baseball, soccer, softball, golf, swim (and much more), participate in the Shore Conference "B Central" Division. Our fencing and tennis teams regularly win championships. 
  • -Our Athletic facilities include a 25-meter indoor pool, tennis courts, a track and field, baseball and softball fields, an Athletic Trainer's room, a lacrosse wall, a fitness center, two gymnasiums and a 400-plus seat Grandstand
  • -Health & Wellness programs begin the Lower School Division, including twice-weekly swim instruction
  • -We offer need-based financial aid
  • -Ranney is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools under "excellent" standing, the highest ranking available, and is a member of the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools
