School Notes Overview: |
We, the Church of St. Stephen School, strive to prepare students to make solid Christian choices based on Gospel teachings and Catholic traditions which allow them to know and understand their God. The whole school community seeks to provide a safe and trusting learning environment where each student is valued and challenged to grow spiritually, emotionally, socially, academically, and physically. As a vital part of the total parish community, St. Stephen School is called to educate students in an atmosphere enriched by the Gospel messages of peace, justice, and love for one another. The spiritual development of students is a primary goal. The school recognizes that a person's faith is formed by living out that faith in community with others through prayer, worship, and service experiences. In partnership with home and the community at large, each student is encouraged and directed to reach his or her potential. St. Stephen School's academic program emphasizes mastery of the basics, with the core curriculum enhanced by programs in art, music, physical education, talent development, and computer science. ...read more
