At IvyCrest Montessori our schools are committed to provide each child the opportunity to fulfill his potential and become an independent, secure, and balanced human being. It is our belief that any method of education should not merely fill children with facts from a preselected course of study, but rather cultivate their own natural desire to learn. As well, we strive to help the child help himself, enabling him to act independently from the adult. The Montessori method is unique, not only in its scientific approach to fulfilling a child's mental and physical needs, but also in the way it encourages maturity of behavior in a child and development of self-discipline and self-esteem. The resulting positive and enthusiastic attitude—so important to a child's future—is one of the hallmarks of a Montessori child who has had the opportunity afforded by early education. Furthermore, it is our goal to motivate each family to feel a sense of commitment and dedication toward their children's school. By exemplifying high standards of excellence, we feel that our reputation and sense of individualism will empower us to be the best we can be, and in doing so, surpass existing criteria for quality schooling and child care.
