The Brooklyn Temple Elementary School first opened its doors in September, 1965, with a staff of two qualified teachers, to guide and direct the education of the pupils. Through the years the school has developed into a center for quality education. The school emphasizes the development of the total person- spiritual, mental, social and physical. The mission of Brooklyn Temple Seventh-day Adventist School is to provide instruction in a Christ-centered environment for the development of mental, physical and spiritual faculties in youth entrusted to its care. The school uses the guidelines of Biblical and Spirit of Prophecy injunctions in an academically competitive curriculum. “Every human being, created in the image of God, is endowed with a power akin to that of the creators individuality , power to think and to do. Those in whom this power is developed are (those)who bear responsibilities, who are leaders in enterprise, and who influence character. It is the work of true education to develop this power, to train the youth to be thinkers, and not mere reflectors of other men’s thoughts”. ...
