German School New York is an independent bilingual (German/English) international school which teaches classes according to German as well as American standards and curricula. The highest aim of German School New York is to enable the self-actualization of our students within the context of social responsibility. We educate young people to be morally mature, intellectually strong, both knowledgeable in all the traditional academic subjects and conscious of their responsibilities to the community. German School New York adheres to current, accepted German educational standards and practices, which is to say that we value expression through the arts as well as all academic disciplines.
