    Temple Beth Tzedek, 621 Getzville Road, Getzville, will install Rabbi Perry Netter as the new permanent rabbi during a ceremony at 7:30 p. m. Sunday. The keynote address will be given by Rabbi Steven C. Wernick, executive vice president of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, a national umbrella group of Conservative synagogues to which Temple Beth Tzedek belongs.

    Anna Lee Canterbury Candler, 83, of Oak Hill, died Sept. 13, 2009, at her home. Born Jan. 6, 1926, at Summerlee (Bays Heights), she was the daughter of the late Ira and Nellie Mann Canterbury. A son, Larry Wayne Candler, and a grandson, Robert A. Candler, preceded her in death.

    Seven of the ten Empower Federal Credit Union college scholarship recipients are students from Oswego County. Empower has awarded $7,000 in scholarships to ten high school seniors from the class of 2009, in Oswego, Onondaga, Montgomery, and Erie Counties.
