At Holy Name of Jesus School our primary focus is assisting you in educating your children in a fully Catholic environment. It is our goal to provide a faith-filled education steeped in high academic standards for all of our students, grades kindergarten through eight. In partnership with parents and our parish community, we provide the opportunity for students and staff to share their God-given gifts in our numerous extracurricular activities. Growing together as a faith community, we foster respect and love for each person. Rooted in academic excellence, we, as a community of learners strive to create a nurturing atmosphere. Reflecting the attitudes and ideals of Christ, we instill a desire to serve one another. The Catholic School is unique, contemporary and oriented to Christian service.     Dauphin County Judge Jeannine Turgeon Thursday announced local winners of the national "Do the Write Thing" essay contest targeting youth violence. Grand prize winners for the Harrisburg area are Gianna Acri of Holy Name of Jesus School and Gonzalo Oquendo of Nativity School.
