Founded over twenty five years ago, The Clariden School of Southlake is located on 23 beautiful acres across from a park.  Fully accredited, the school strives to prepare students for life with a focus on academic, social and emotional learning that values the individual while teaching the students the value of community and teamwork. The Lower School is a Montessori school and serves students 3 years through 12 years of age.  The new Global Strengths program in the Upper School serves students in 7th, 8th, and 9th grade.  The program is a rigorous performance-based curriculum with effective measures built in to determine a student's depth of understanding. Core standards are not only met but surpassed through an active learning approach.

    • The Clariden School of Southlake's Lower School program is grounded in the Montessori philosophy. Our accreditation through Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) ensures that the integrity of Dr. Maria Montessori's vision is maintained throughout our Lower School classrooms.
    • In Montessori classrooms, lessons are given to students individually or in small groups.  Personalized instruction such as this allows the teacher better opportunity to gauge both the ability and interest of individual students at a level of detail unmatched by many other educational models.
    • The Global Strengths Program for students in the Upper School (7,8,9 grades) is designed to engage students through a  highly personalized, challenging, and innovation-driven curriculum that makes learning relevant.  Students will use hands-on, active, project-based learning to complete challenging projects that will have real world applications.  For example, students won't simply learn about geometry by solving pencil and paper problems. They will learn about geometry with a project that might redesign an entire neighborhood. They will identify problems, formulate solutions, apply those solutions and report their findings. The program requires students thoroughly understand, integrate and apply their knowledge. 
    • Students in our Global Strengths Program will produce rich portfolios of college-ready work such as student published writing, original films, inventions, products, business plans and designs.  Opportunities to reach beyond the basic core curriculum are abundant in each project which further inspires excitement about learning.
