    A little known progression of history: In 1993 Texas, and a few other states, began an annual recycling awareness day four years before the rest of the country caught on. Now, there’s a “National Recycles Day.” The project has had limited local hoopla — everyone knows about Earth Day, right? — and Bellaire’s Recycling Committee wants to do something about that.
